Doublings is an extension of the project La doublure presented at the Galerie de l’UQAM in 2012. This book offers a new interpretation of the installation, with the inclusion of previously unpublished documents such as a performance protocol and excerpts from the performers’ journal. In addition to photographs and diagrams, the book contains the entire book YOU (in this story), which was part of the installation. Finally, author Charles Guilbert has written a detailed, personal analysis in an essay that takes the form of two visits to the installation.
