The booklet Carl TrahanNotte elettrica concerns the eponymous exhibition presented at the artist-run centre AXENÉO7 in Gatineau in 2014. This publication includes an essay by Marie Lavorel addressing futurism, fascism, darkness and light, as well as upheaval and disruption. The design was put together by Dominique Mousseau.

 

Carl Trahan has been exhibiting his multidisciplinary work in Canada and Europe since obtaining an M.F.A. from Université du Québec à Montréal in 1994. He lives and works in Montreal.

Marie Lavorel holds a Ph.D. in museology, mediation and heritage from Université du Québec à Montréal and a Ph.D. in information and communication sciences from Université d’Avignon et des Pays de Vaucluse. Her research focuses on the heritagization of sensitive memories and writing on contemporary history and art. (Conjointly, she collaborates with artists through her curatorial projects and writing practice.) She lives in Montreal.
